Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has demanded swift justice and exemplary punishment for the person responsible for the brutal killing of child Ramisa Akter in the capital.
In a post shared on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday, he expressed deep sorrow over Ramisa’s death and wrote: “Dear little Ramisa, humanity is ashamed before you. You were innocent. You had not yet fully blossomed in life. You were a priceless dream filled with love and hope in the hearts of your parents and sister.”
He further wrote, “Your departure was not a victory of evil desires. The perpetrator will forever remain condemned. We want to see justice for this brutal murder and the swift punishment of the offender.”
Expressing sympathy to Ramisa’s grieving family, he prayed: “May Allah accept Ramisa as a bird of paradise and grant patience to her parents, sister, and loved ones. Ameen.”
Meanwhile, police have arrested the main suspect, Md. Zakir Hossain alias Sohel Rana (30), along with his wife Swapna, in connection with the case.
