Senior Joint Secretary General of the BNP, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, has said that despite successes in other sectors under the interim government, negligence in the health sector has led to the deaths of children and a deterioration in healthcare services.

Speaking at a BNP rally organised to mark World Health Day on Tuesday morning, Rizvi, who also serves as Adviser to the Ministry of Industries, criticised the performance of the previous administration, alleging that shortcomings in health governance had resulted in serious consequences for public welfare.

Rizvi emphasised that restoring stability and efficiency in healthcare services should be a key focus for the government to prevent further loss of life and ensure better medical support for citizens.
