Court orders seizure of income tax records of SB Inspector Abdur Rob

A Dhaka court on Wednesday ordered the seizure of income tax records of Abdur Rob, an inspector of the Police’s Special Branch (SB).

Judge Md Sabbir Faiz of the Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge’s Court passed the order following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

ACC Assistant Director Md Saidul Islam filed the petition, seeking the seizure of the income tax records of Abdur Rob in connection with an ongoing investigation.

According to the petition, it is necessary to seize all income tax returns submitted by Abdur Rob up to the latest assessment year, along with related records and documents, for the sake of a proper investigation by the ACC.
