Jamaat ameer goes through sudden illness

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and opposition leader Shafiqur Rahman has suddenly fallen ill.

According to party sources, he began feeling unwell on Tuesday while on his way to attend an iftar gathering in Mirpur in the capital.

He reportedly became physically very weak while inside his vehicle en route to the event.

Immediate medical assistance was provided, and he is currently under observation and taking rest, sources said.
