Manjur Morshed Chowdhury appointed senior secretary of home ministry

The government has appointed retired secretary Manjur Morshed Chowdhury as senior secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs on a contract basis for one year.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification signed by the ministry’s Deputy Secretary Md Golam Rabbani on Tuesday.

According to the order, the appointment has been made under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018.

The notification said he must leave any other profession, business or job with any government, semi-government or private organisation before taking up the post.

It also mentioned that other terms and conditions of the appointment will be fixed through a contract.

The order was issued in the public interest by the order of the president.
