Summer Semester orientation held at IUB

Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organised its Summer 2018 Semester’s orientation programme for newly admitted undergraduate students on  May 5 at the university’s own campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka .

Welcoming the newly enrolled students and the parents, Prof. Milan Pagon, Pro Vice Chancellor, IUB heartily thanked them for choosing IUB towards crafting their lives by coping with new challenges. He called upon the freshers to capitalise `IUB Life’ in order to coming out as the best professionals in respective fields along with becoming responsible and quality human beings to serve the humanity. He advised the students, not to relay upon only on talents rather work hard in order to succeed. Prof. Pagon also mentioned, `don’t give up and make yourself employable’.

Highlighting the academic rules and regulations of the University, Ms. Mona Rahman, Deputy Registrar of IUB requested the students to be abided by them, and assured of extending all essential cooperation to the new students and their parents.

Prof. Mohd. Aminul Karim, Dean, School of Business; Prof. Mohammed Anwer, Dean, School of Engineering and Computer Science; Dr. Abdul Khaleque, Dean, School of Environmental Science and Management; Dr Mahbub Alam, Dean, School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; and Prof. Rita Yusuf, Dean, School of Life Sciences also welcomed the new students and spoke in the program by highlighting the strengths, opportunities and progressive learning environments of respective Schools.
