Int’l confce on nutrition at IU on May 6

An international conference on ‘The Role of Nutrition in Health and Development’ will be held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on May 6, reports UNB.


Applied Nutrition and Food Technology Department of the university will organise the conference in association with Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project of University Grant Commission (UGC), said convener of the conference Professor M Abdus Samad on Sunday afternoon.


IU Vice Chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari will attend the conference as the chief guest while pro-vice chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahamn and treasurer Professor M Selim Toha as the special guests.


Science faculty dean of International Islamic University in Malaysia Professor Kamruzzaman-Bin-Yunus, Professor of Infection Biology Department of Tsukuba University in Japan Misturu Okuwaki and pro-vice chancellor of Chittagong University of Science Technology Professor Nurul Absar will be present as key speakers.
