Bashundhara Kings and Azimpur Football Club are going to participate in Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) for the upcoming season.

Four foreign players were allowed to play in every team last year but the authority of BCL changed the rules this season. Now a team can play only three overseas players in the forthcoming season.

Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Abdus Salam Murshedy confirmed to the media during a press briefing after a 4-hour long discussion on Thursday (16 March).

He said that two teams are relegated by laws of BCL and BFF. The 13 teams will start their professional league journey on April this year.

Professional league will follow the previous year’s rules. Team exchange and player transfer operations will begin on March 20.
